Chef Mitch Greene
Chef Mitch Greene grew up in Eastern North Carolina. As a child, Mitch spent as much time in the kitchen as he possibly could. Every year for Mothers’ Day, the aspiring young chef would attempt to make breakfast to deliver to his mother in bed. Nearly every year he under-boiled the egg, or overcooked the toast. But it wasn’t long before his parents allowed him to use the stove and he perfected things like scrambled eggs and French toast.

Mitch drew inspiration from his mother, Julia Child, Justin Wilson, and other popular TV chefs. With their help, Mitch developed the confidence to try new things in the kitchen.

Upon graduating high school, Mitch attended the United States Naval Academy—where his culinary aspirations were somewhat restricted. Limited to dining out (on occasion) or chow-hall food for four years, Mitch graduated a hungry man. After a very successful six years as a Naval Officer, Mitch finally recognized what he had to do—cook!

Mitch enrolled in the Culinary Arts Institute at the University of South Carolina and earned his diploma in Culinary Arts. Trained by some of the best chefs in the Columbia Metropolitan area, Mitch gained the skills he needed to refine his cooking and provide the highest quality meals possible. Upon graduating, Mitch founded Another Choice and offers his customers a healthy alternative to fast food dining.

Mitch became a member of the United States Personal Chef Association and opened Another Choice Personal Chef Service in January 2003. In September 2005 Mitch became a Certified Personal Chef.
